
Sergio Dorrego—Aquatics Director; Head Coach, Swim & Dive
Coach Dorrego has been coaching at Sunny Hills for ten years. He has also been working as a special education teacher on campus for five years. He also currently works as a USA Swimming Referee in the Los Angeles, Orange County, and Riverside areas. He was a member of the swim and water polo teams at Fullerton Union High School and was named Boys Swim MVP in 2009 and 2012. In 2012, he became the Freeway League Champion in the 100 breaststroke. Coach Dorrego also swam at FAST for five years and coached there for three years. His proudest moments as a coach at Sunny Hills include leading the Girls Swim team to eight consecutive Freeway League Championships, and finishing runner-up at CIF in 2019 with the Girls Swim team.

Keith Nighswonger—Head Coach, Girls Water Polo
Coach Nighswonger has been coaching at Sunny Hills for over 35 years. Throughout his career, he has coached hundreds of aquatics athletes and hosted thousands of water polo games and swim meets. He has earned countless awards and recognitions, and recently achieved his 1,000th career victory. Coach Nighswonger credits his success to his wife, Laura, and their two sons, Seth and Hayden.

Jordan Jaime—Head Coach, Boys Water Polo
Coach Jaime has been coaching at Sunny Hills for eight years. He was a member of the swim and water polo teams at Sunny Hills High School, where he was recognized as a Guardian Lancer, Scholar-Athlete, and 2nd Team All-Freeway League. He made three CIF appearances as a player and was part of the 2014 Boys Water Polo Freeway League Championship team. As a coach, his proudest moments include leading the Boys Water Polo team to their first CIF appearance since the 2017-18 season and assisting the Girls Water Polo team in securing seven undefeated Freeway League Championships.

Andrea Lantz—Assistant Coach
Coach Lantz has been coaching at Sunny Hills for three years. A lifelong swimmer, she began her career at FAST and continued swimming through the collegiate level. She was a member of the swim and water polo teams at Troy High School and later returned to Troy as a coach for five years after completing high school. As an athlete at Troy, Coach Lantz earned MVP titles in both water polo and swim and still holds the frosh-soph Freeway League record in the 50 Butterfly. Her coaching career includes contributing to four Freeway League water polo championships, three Freeway League swim championships, and multiple CIF teams. Some of her proudest moments as a coach include helping to lead Troy High School to five consecutive undefeated Freeway League championships in both boys water polo and boys swim, and contributing to Sunny Hills’ Girls Swim Freeway League Championship team.
